At our Ocean Eco Retreat during the Australian winter months, you are able to watch these magnificent mammals from the comfort of your lounge chair or walk a hundred metres to the beach if you would rather be that touch closer (its worth the effort). At night, on very still calm winter evenings, you can hear the "Song of the Whales" through natures own stereo system. Their pitch and velocity increases with the birth of their young - this is truly amazing and is sure to keep you mesmerised for many hours.

And if you just can't get enough, or close enough, join us on one of our boat tours and become as one with the whales on the sea.

Fowlers Ocean Eco Retreat is a fully self contained 3 bedroom character house nestled amongst the white sandy dunes of beautiful Fowlers Bay, on South Australia's Eyre Penninsula..

The 100acre retreat, which is only a beautiful 20 minute beach stroll to the remote coastal township of Fowlers Bay (with a population of 12), offers complete privacy, spectacular views and an amazing footprint free beach.

At the Fowlers Ocean Eco Retreat, we aim to maintain an eco friendly environment. The house is fully self sufficient. Power is supplied by a generator, which is soon to undergo a conversion to solar, and the house is also entirely supplied by rainwater.
While we have currently done extensive renovations to the Retreat, we will be continuing with more renovations over the next 12 months.

Packages will be available for whale watching, fishing or sightseeing boat charters.
